Set in the Chevreuse valley, forty minutes from Paris and directly connected by train and road to both Charles de Gaulle and Orly airports, Château de Méridon is a XIIIth-century private estate inscribed within French Heritage.
For the duration of your stay, the château, its gardens, its woodlands and its salons belong to your family alone.

Up to 34 guests, beneath one roof

Château de Méridon can accommodate up to 34 guests overnight across its 12 suites and bedrooms, each reflecting the château's Art Deco heritage with a discreet refinement.
Larger gatherings of up to 150 guests are welcome for celebrations.
For Christmas, most families choose an intimate gathering: three to five days, the estate to themselves, time that belongs only to them.
And within that time, each guest finds their own Méridon. While the youngest play Monopoly in the warmth of the Salon Cheminée or settle in for a film with their babysitter, parents slip away for a restorative massage or an afternoon of quiet. Grandparents gather around the bar, conversation unhurried, glasses never empty.
The Ballroom transforms entirely : into a private cinema for family screenings, a games room, or whatever the evening calls for.
Nothing is fixed nor imposed.

To accompany your celebration, the Château de Méridon works with a selection of distinguished culinary partners : from Maison Kaspia Réceptions, a reference in haute gastronomy, to Maison Lenôtre led by a chef Meilleur Ouvrier de France, to private starred chefs - your culinary experience at Château de Méridon will be exceptional, and always entirely your own. Those who prefer to bring their personal private chef are equally welcome.
A candlelit dinner on Christmas Eve, a leisurely brunch on Christmas morning; each meal composed for your family’s tastes, not selected from a catalogue.
A refined festive décor can also be created through our floral design and scenography partners.

For those who wish to mark the morning of the 25th gently, the Château de Méridon also offers its own brunch à la française, created in collaboration with the executive chef of a renowned Macaron House.

The season that suits it best

Autumn at Méridon is alive. The four-hundred-acre forest burns with colour, mist settles in the valley at dawn, and the château seems to emerge from the landscape rather than sit upon it.
There is something almost mystical about October here.

Winter at Méridon has a purity to it that no other season quite reaches. The forest has stilled. The stone façade darkens in the cold, and what remains is only the essential: the smoke rising from the fireplace, the candlelight caught in the Glasshouse glass, the sound of gravel underfoot as guests arrive. Then the door opens, and Château de Méridon settles around you like a coat placed gently on your shoulders.

Rates and availability

Full privatisation of Château de Méridon is available from €40,000 per night, inclusive of our dedicated château team - Head Châteaukeeper, venue coordinator, housekeeping and security.
Each residency is composed bespoke, tailored to the size of your gathering, the duration of your stay, and the level of service you wish to arrange.
